Wine, Dine & Dive Package
False Bay, named such because early navigators mistook Hangklip for Cape Point, is the largest true bay in South Africa and one of the great bays of the world. It is no surprise to learn that the distance across False Bay (33 kilometres from Rooiels to Miller’s Point) remains a rather daunting prospect for even the most primed marathon swimmer… but you won’t be swimming it!
Our visitors will not only scuba or snorkel dive in this lovely bay, but also soak up the view it offers, drink the wine it produces and dine on cuisine prepared by world class chef’s in a guest house of international standards.
The 2 night package is per person sharing, any 2 consecutive nights of the week, depending on availability in one of two 4* guest houses, namely Celtic Manor and Oceana Palms. Both are situated on the slopes of Gordons Bay, overlooking the ocean as it stretches from Strand across to Cape Point.
Your first evening will be spent enjoying a sumptuous 3-course dinner on the veranda at sunset. The meal will be paired with a bottle of red or white wine from the region.
The following morning you and your guest will be collected from your lodge after breakfast and transfered to our dive centre for kit-up and a dive briefing. Dive sites will depend on the prevailing wind and weather conditions on the day. Should diving be impossible, you will as an alternative, be whisked off on a half-day wine tour in the Somerset West or Stellenbosch region.
Your package includes all required dive equipment, including cylinder and weights. We do however encourage divers to bring their own personal gear to ensure utmost comfort. Advanced dive qualification recommended but not compulsory.
The afternoon is spent at leisure or on own arrangements. Alternatively, indulge in a 60 minute body massage as part of your package. This can also be booked the following morning instead. What better way to end your stay than with a massage after breakfast?
Return airport and dive site transfers available if required.
Rates are quoted on a per person sharing basis and depends on room availability at time of booking. Upgrades available on request.
