Duration:

The course time is dependent on the individual or group interested in the course. The academic sessions will take a day with the pool sessions on the following day. The last day will consist of the two sea dives.

Ask your instructor for a custom-made schedule.

Prerequisites:
  • Minimum age is 8 years old.
  • A medical examination before any water session, or an updated medical within the previous 12 months.
  • All NAUI waivers / releases and related forms completed.
  • 2 recent ID photographs.
Aim of the course:

Alpha Dive Center’s aim is to train students above standards set by the National Association of Underwater Instructors (NAUI), and to maintain a level of safety and communication between the student and instructor.

The Snorkel Diver Course is aimed at training you to become a safe and confident skin diver.

Sea Dives:

The minimum number of open water dives is 2.
Sea dives are done anywhere (weather dependant) between Rooi-Els and Simons Town or on the Atlantic side of the Peninsula.

R650 + R200 N.A.U.I. registration fee
