Nitrox Diver
Duration:

Two evenings of lectures will cover all theory aspects of this course. Classes will start at18h00 and will run for approximately 3 hours.

Two boat dives on the same day have to be done using Oxygen Enriched Air.

 
Prerequisites:

  • Minimum age is 15 years with NAUI Advanced Diver certifcation or equivalent
  • A medical examination before the commencement of the course or an updated medical within the previous 12 months.
  • All NAUI waivers/releases and related forms completed.
  • ID photograph

Aim of the course:

NAUI Nitrox Diver is a comprehensive course that focuses on the practical information a diver needs to know in order to use oxygen-enriched air

  • Gases
  • The concept of partial pressure
  • Oxygen limits and tolerance
  • How to select the right mix
  • Procedures and tables for no-stop dives
  • Dive computers and nitrox
  • Mixing and obtaining Nitrox
  • Introduction to technical diving

 

Sea Dives

  • 2 Boat dives with nitrox - one of which is to be a repetitive dive
  • Students to analyse their own gases
  • Plan and safely execute each dive
  •          

    Equipment requirements:

    You will be required to provide your own basic snorkelling gear and dive computer. Although it is preferable to have your own scuba equipment too, this can be rented from the dive school should you need to.
