Rocky Bay
Lots of fish and crayfish to see on this large, reasonably flat reef. Unlikely to cover the entire reef on one dive therefore excellent for a "2 tank" excursion. Look out for the large orange sea sponges! Location: The site can be seen from the road to Rooi Els, more or less 13 km from the Alpha Dive Centre. Accessibility: Recommended as a boat dive only. Depth: 6 - 24 m. Qualification: Certification beyond beginner-level necessary for diving this reef beyond 18m. This can be an exciting adrenalin-filled dive. Lots of fish and crayfish to see. |
